TRAINING NEEDS ASSESSMENTS

Diversity Training like all training, must flow from a thorough knowledge of the target audience and its needs.  Trainer skills, competencies and standards as well as the content, methodology and resources used in our training program will be determined on the basis of a needs analysis of those participating.

Benefits of Undertaking a Needs Assessment:

Integrating consultation as a critical aspect of training program development contributes substantially to ensuring “ownership” of the learning outcomes.

It is also critical that training methods and content make direct links with the trainee’s own work experience, hence the requirement for case examples drawn from the person’s real experience.  It is essential that the training approach be grounded in that experience.

Principles of participation and needs analysis will be adopted in order to foster amongst potential trainees, high commitment through collaboration, consultation and participation.

The training strategy developed for your organisation will take account of the varying needs of participants and propose the delivery of flexible and customised training.
